PVC LININGS

Flexible PVC linings have been used for many years as an affordable way to waterproof old and new reservoirs, ponds and waterways. We custom make linings to suite your needs. We only use food grade, virgin PVC material ranging from 600um to 1200um.

The beauty of our PVC liners is that they can be repaired when damaged whereas LDPE and HDPE linings cannot. We have a specially formulated glue that can be used both above and below water, making repairs easy.

MESH RESERVOIRS

Mesh reservoirs, when constructed correctly, are the ideal economical water storage solution.  There are unfortunately a lot of unscrupulous manufacturers of late that offer very cheap units however the quality and lifespan are minimal.  Our first Mesh Reservoir was made for a trout farm in the Cape and the liner was only replaced 17 years later.  This proves the integrity of our product.

Our Reservoir sizes range between 1.2m diameter to 12m diameter at a height of 1.2m or 1.5m.

The materials used consist of galvanised steel welded mesh with a minimum of 600micron lining (the micron can be increased according to specific needs) and a 1000micron LDPE wall protector which is placed between the steel and liner for added protection. The wall protector almost doubles the life span of the liner by protecting it from sun and damage. Solid brass eyelets are installed on the hem of the liner to thread the rope through which ensures that the liner is kept in place once installed. Outlets are at an additional cost as pipe size requirements change however, they are preinstalled for your convenience and to ensure the integrity of the product.

Benefits of a Mesh Reservoir:

  • They are economical compared to a concrete reservoir.

  • Skilled installers are not required as they come with very clear instructions and are easy to assemble. All bolts and rope that you will require are included.

  • They are easily disassembled and reassembled in the instance that you might need to move them e.g. moving camps or farms.

  • They are easy to transport. When packed the small to medium sized ones will be able to fit on average four on the back of a standard size bakkie. The mesh is cut and rolled to the exact requirements and the liners are flat packed in their own custom-made bag. The bag includes a repair kit in the event that instructions aren’t followed correctly and the liner is damaged during installation which has very rarely happened.
